Event Co-chairs:
Catherine Harrison and Tisa Hibbs

Catherine Harrison
Catherine started her modeling career in the 1980s working her way through nursing school. Her photographs graced the Dallas Morning News advertisements, JC Penney & Sears Catalogues, as well as Wilson Sporting Goods, Neiman Marcus and on a product box in Radio Shack. She has had the unique opportunity to model success in national print advertisements, on the runway, in digital media and in life.
Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and was an operating room nurse for many years before losing the majority of her eyesight. Although only partially sighted, due to a progressive retinal disease, she is very independent, reads Braille and uses white cane for mobility.
Don’t let her white cane fool you.
Catherine is both fearless in the face of a challenge and skilled at defying the stereotypes assigned to women over 50 and to the handicapped.
As a former professional ballerina, who studied at Julliard’s School of American Ballet, Catherine brings that same discipline, grace and poise to being a model who happens to be blind. Now in her “second half of life” she signed with Grogan Management Modeling Agency in Dallas as a commercial print and fitness model.
Catherine has combined her skills as a ballerina, 10+ years of weight training and her knowledge as a nurse to become a popular certified fitness instructor, teaching stretching/flexibility class. Her lean, athletic physique and positive approach to fitness/nutrition/beauty at every age makes her both a role model and expert in what an active, healthy lifestyle can be.
Her encouraging message of perseverance and strength regardless of circumstances led Catherine to be a sought-after public speaker and writer for more than 10 years.
Tisa Hibbs
Tisa signed with the Kim Dawson Modeling Agency in Dallas in 1982 and has experience as a petite runway model, television & movie acting and commercial print ads. She has graced the pages of D Magazine, Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star Telegram, Cavender’s, Seventeen Magazine, Bride Magazine, Modern Bride and others. Her runway shows include Neiman-Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Macy’s, JC Penney, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, and others
Some of Tisa’s most visible roles as an actress were in the movie “Hope Floats” alongside Sandra Bullock in 1998, The Seinfeld Thanksgiving Special; Friday Night Lights; Walker, Texas Ranger; Dallas; The Young & The Restless; Rescue 911, and others. She even finds time to act with Dallas Actors Company, Repertory Company, and in Tyler Civic Theatre shows.
She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1985 with a BA degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production. Tisa currently oversees the marketing and advertising for Hibbs-Hallmark and Company. She is also the writer, director and producer for several local television commercials.
Never one to let grass grow under her feet, Tisa is a tireless volunteer at Marvin Church and serves on numerous community boards. She has been President-Children’s Advocacy Center Board of Directors, VP-East Texas Youth Orchestra Board, VP-Hibbs Family Foundation Board, on the East Texas Crisis Center Board, Young Audiences Board, and the Tyler Civic Theatre Board.
But without a doubt Tisa’s favorite role is as wife to Billy Hibbs, Jr. for 36 years, Mom to Stratton and London, daughter of Phyllis & Terry Weiss. Her passion to promote the arts is evident not only in where she pours out her talents but, in her ability to infuse those around her with that same love for the creative beauty experienced through the arts.
